The New York IABC offers a variety of career development resources for members including resume review services and mentoring
Résumé Reviews

As part of a new effort to bring additional value to the benefit of IABC membership, the New York Chapter has assembled a team of corporate recruiters who have volunteered their time to conduct a résumé review for active members.

How will it work? Just send an email to: admin@nyiabc.com and put "Résumé Review Request" in the subject line, with your résumé attached. We will forward your name and résumé to a corporate recruiter and they will contact you. Then you and the recruiter will work out the details of the review at your mutual convenience. It's that simple. The recruiter will be able to offer you perspective, ideas and general thoughts regarding your résumé.

If you have ideas or needs that you think the chapter can address, please let us know. Our goal is to have your membership in the IABC be a valuable part of your career program. Please contact Rob Drasin or any of the Board members with your suggestions or thoughts.

Mentoring Program

We are pleased to introduce another great benefit of your IABC membership — Mentoring for active New York chapter members.

Are you thinking about a career change or just shifting your focus? Perhaps you are struggling with a difficult supervisor and need some strategies to deal with them. You may be plagued with NMDS (New Media Deficiency Syndrome) and need some advice (a bit of humor here). For these and other professional questions, the Mentoring Program may be a great resource.

We are currently looking for both mentors and mentees to help us kick off this important new initiative. Professionals at all levels are invited to become either a mentor or a mentee or both! Simply fill out the form (click here) and email it to nyiabc@adminoffice.biz or use the fax number on the bottom of the form. Once we receive your form we will work to pair up professionals who will benefit from each other's strengths and needs. You can sign up at any time — but the sooner you sign up, the sooner you can be helping others or, receiving help. Feel free to contact Rob Drasin with any questions.

Our goal is to ensure that your IABC membership is working for you. Thoughts and suggestions are always welcomed.
