NY/IABC Announces New, Easier-to-Enter Integrated Communications
Awards Program: ACE.BIZ Awards

NEW YORK, N.Y., March 7, 2013 – The New York Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators is launching a new awards program that recognizes professional excellence in all aspects of business communications. The new program, named the ACE.BIZ Awards, will honor work performed between March 2012 and March 2013 in more than 20 categories.

The new awards program is easier to enter than the chapter’s previous program, known as the ACE Awards, as it provides simple online entry. The awards will be judged by industry and academic leaders, as well as topic-specific specialists, using the ACE Awards criteria. The program’s call for entries begins March 18, and the deadline for entry is May 31.

Online judging of entries will be hosted by CommPRO.biz, NY/IABC’s media partner in the program, and will run from June through August. ACE.BIZ Awards Day will be in early September, and the exact date and details will be announced soon.
Awards will be presented in more than 40 categories and sub-categories overall, ranging from external communications and speechwriting to digital media and multicultural marketing. This year’s program will also include a selection of “people’s choice” awards: “Communicator of the Year,” “Best Integrated Communications Program of the Year,” “Best Reputation Management Program of the Year” and “Best Advertising Campaign of the Year.”  Finalists in these categories will be judged by Commpro.biz readers.
